5 Nursery Room Themes You Should Consider

Our favourite themes for your newborns nursery rooms.

When it comes to designing and decorating your baby’s nursery, you might have a million ideas already but no idea how to translate them into something well put together and a calming space for you and the baby to both enjoy. We have put together a few of our classic and adorable nursery room themes in the hope of inspiring and helping you make your final decision on decor styles.

Safari Nursery Themes

So this might already be self-explanatory but safari nursery themes are an extremely popular choice for a unisex option. While you could argue a jungle theme is relatively the same, I would say it’s a bit more on the boy side, as that includes things like snakes, spiders and stuff like that. So I prefer a much more neutral safari theme; that way you can incorporate giraffe teddies,  elephants and monkeys, and it looks extremely adorable as a choice for either, especially if you are leaving the gender reveal for birth.

You could even go the extra mile and get some artificial grass in there for playtime and the safari-themed toys you have collected.

Clouds

Another popular gender-neutral option that is perfect as it’s also extremely timeless. This is a great option if you are looking for something they can also grow into. As clouds don’t already shout baby room, they are a great option as a nursery room accessories you have decorated on the walls, through rugs or even wall painting.

This is a very popular theme that I see more and more of but for those exact reasons they are extremely easy to add and require minimal effort in changing.

Boho Themed Nursery

A boho-themed room is essential for those who don’t want to sacrifice their personal style for a baby room and I don’t blame you. It’s more than likely your baby won’t be impacted or care about the pictures on the wall and if they are animals or not. So a boho theme is all about natural materials, so your woods, linens and so forth. Patterns and textures are all a key part of the boho theme.

While themes are adorable, if you are anything like me and want your home to be cohesive and don’t believe in creating rooms that are babied and will have to continuously change, I think a a boho or natural theme would be in your preference.

If you wish to achieve a room that you also love and can allow your baby to grow into without having to redecorate, this is the perfect option.

Hot Air Balloon Theme

Another theme that I have been seeing a lot more of this year is a very simple yet effective way to add some colour to the room. Another gender-neutral option that can be catered for boys or girls depending on the colour theme you go for. This is a very adventurous theme so it’s nice to have something that is not very boisterous or feminine.

Final Thoughts

When it comes to nursery themes, these 5 are my favourites due to their simplicity it and how easy it is to get the theme with little effort and minimal spending, which I think is important, especially if it’s one you will likely change and get rid of eventually.
