It is actually produced inside our body and it happens when out skin gets sun exposure, which allows the conversion of pro-vitamin D into the actual vitamin D that can be used for our body. However, it is important to use common sense and avoid having prolonged sun exposure. It’s acceptable to have healthy light tan, but many people stay under the sun for too long.

The building blocks of vitamin D can be obtained from fortified foods, fatty fish and supplements. If you want to prevent osteoporosis, it is also a good idea to perform the proper exercise that is used to promote strong bones. Weight bearing exercise will not only make our muscle stronger, but it can also make our bone stronger. This should be performed while we are still younger and stronger. High impacts activities, such as rope jumping, hiking, running and dancing are good for your bones, so you need to start as soon as possible. If you delay, you will be able to cope with only low-impact exercise, due to the declining physical condition.
